Job Summary

We are looking for a Shopify Developer to support the ongoing development and maintenance of our Shopify storefront. The ideal candidate has strong experience with Shopify theme development and is comfortable working within an existing codebase that incorporates Vue.js components. While this is not a greenfield Vue.js application, candidates should be able to understand, maintain, and extend the Vue.js functionality already built into the theme. A strong focus on storefront performance and optimization is essential. Experience with Shopify POS is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance an existing Shopify theme.
• Develop and customize Shopify theme functionality using Liquid, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Maintain and extend existing Vue.js components integrated into the Shopify theme.
• Continuously optimize storefront performance, including Core Web Vitals, page load speed, JavaScript execution, image optimization, and overall user experience.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks using browser developer tools, Lighthouse, and other performance monitoring tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to theme functionality, performance, and user experience.
• Integrate and maintain third-party Shopify apps and APIs while minimizing their impact on site performance.
• Optimize storefront responsiveness, accessibility, and SEO.
• Collaborate with designers and product stakeholders to implement new features and improvements.
• Participate in code reviews and follow development best practices.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with Shopify development.
• Strong experience with:

Shopify Liquid

JavaScript (ES6+)

HTML5 and CSS3

Shopify theme development and customization

• Working knowledge of Vue.js, with experience maintaining and extending existing Vue.js components.
• Demonstrated experience optimizing Shopify storefront performance, including improving Core Web Vitals and overall page speed.
• Experience using browser profiling and performance analysis tools such as Chrome DevTools and Lighthouse.
• Experience with Shopify APIs and third-party app integrations.
• Experience with Git and version control.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
