About the Role:

We are looking for a candidate with strong foundational knowledge in class="bg-amber-100">machine learning and deep learning, including architectures such as encoder–decoder models, transformers, CNNs, and GANs, along with a solid understanding of core algorithms like classification (generative and discriminative), regression, clustering, and dimensionality reduction. The ideal candidate should have a firm grasp of mathematical fundamentals, including probability and statistics, linear algebra, and optimization techniques, as well as strong proficiency in class="bg-amber-100">data structures and algorithms. Expertise in class="bg-amber-100">Python is essential, with hands-on experience using libraries such as Scikit-learn, SciPy, NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, and TensorFlow; familiarity with C/class="bg-amber-100">C++ or class="bg-amber-100">Java is a plus. A solid understanding of natural language processing (NLP) is required, and experience with large language models (LLMs) is preferred. In addition to class="bg-amber-100">technical skills, the candidate should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.

What you'll do:

• Expected to work on e-commerce search problems involving large volumes of complex, real-world structured and unstructured text class="bg-amber-100">data, image class="bg-amber-100">data, ontologies and class="bg-amber-100">databases.
• Should be comfortable in analysing class="bg-amber-100">data, performing error analysis, debugging, tuning and modifying research code based on such analysis to optimise performance.
• The ideal candidate should be willing to get to the heart of a problem by asking deep questions and then thinking out of the box to find solutions.

What you'll need:

• Hands-on experience with training, tuning and executing deep learning models (Essential)
• Hands-on experience with modifying deep learning research code (Preferred)
• Formal experience (e.g. as part of college curriculum or company project) of working on ML / DL projects (Preferred)

• Bachelor’s / Master's / PhD Degree in CS / AI / ML /class="bg-amber-100">Data Science
