We’re looking for an experienced Desktop Software Engineer to build our offline ticket verification application: a core product used by event staff to validate tickets even when internet connectivity is unavailable.

This role will work directly with the founders and product team to design and ship software that will be used at live events.

Responsibilities

* Build a cross-platform desktop application (Windows priority) for offline ticket verification.

* Develop a high-performance QR code scanning and validation system.

* Implement secure offline ticket verification with local encrypted data storage.

* Synchronize verification records with the WarbleLive platform once internet connectivity is restored.

* Optimize the application for speed, reliability, and low-latency scanning during large events.

* Collaborate with the backend and blockchain engineers to integrate APIs and ticket validation logic.

* Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.

* Participate in architecture discussions and product improvements.

Required Qualifications

* 3+ years building desktop applications.

* Strong experience with Electron.js (preferred), .NET (WPF/WinUI), or Qt.

* Strong JavaScript/TypeScript experience (if using Electron).

* Experience working with REST APIs.

* Experience with local databases such as SQLite.

* Experience implementing offline-first applications.

* Understanding of software security best practices.

* Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.

* Ability to work independently in a remote startup environment.

What Success Looks Like

Within your first few months, you will have built a production-ready desktop application capable of:

* Scanning QR tickets instantly.

* Verifying tickets without internet access.

* Preventing duplicate entries.

* Syncing verification logs once connectivity returns.

* Supporting fast check-in for hundreds or thousands of attendees.
