The Role

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native backend services using Python and FastAPI
• Build scalable REST APIs for financial applications and integrate with third-party market data providers like Bloomberg
• Implement real-time backend services with WebSockets and event-driven architectures
• Design and optimize PostgreSQL databases, working with Snowflake for cloud data warehousing
• Deploy and support applications within Microsoft Azure, ensuring optimal performance and scalability
• Collaborate with engineering teams on technical design, troubleshooting, and delivering new functionality
  
  

What You'll Need

• 5+ years of backend software development experience with strong Python programming skills
• Experience developing REST APIs using FastAPI or similar Python frameworks
• Hands-on Bloomberg API integration and strong understanding of backend application architecture and distributed systems
• Expertise in SQL and PostgreSQL, along with experience designing real-time applications using WebSockets or event-driven architectures
• Cloud development experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform
• Ability to work U.S. East Coast business hours, consistently collaborating with engineering teams
