Role Description The JavaScript Developer will work on-site in Vavuniya in a full-time capacity, contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of web applications and digital solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing front-end features, integrating with back-end services, optimizing application performance, and ensuring cross-browser and cross-device compatibility. The role involves writing clean, maintainable JavaScript code, collaborating with UX/UI designers and other developers, and using modern frameworks and libraries to build scalable applications. The developer will participate in code reviews, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices and project workflows. Close collaboration with project managers and stakeholders is expected to ensure that deliverables meet technical and business requirements.
Qualifications

• Strong skills in JavaScript and Front-End Development, including building responsive, user-friendly web interfaces.
• Experience in Back-End Web Development and general Software Development, with an understanding of APIs, databases, and server-side logic.
• Practical experience with state management libraries such as Redux.js or similar tools for complex web applications.
• Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue) and build tools (e.g., Webpack, npm, Yarn) is highly beneficial.
• Ability to write clean, tested, and well-documented code; experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Understanding of secure coding practices, performance optimization, and basic DevOps or deployment workflows is a plus.
