We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our dynamic team, committed to building and delivering our cutting-edge Genospace software platform. Our platform is a leading information system used by clinicians, researchers, and laboratories worldwide to analyze high-dimensional genomic and biomedical data, ultimately improving patient outcomes and advancing scientific discovery.
This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful projects that directly influence healthcare delivery and research. As a Software Engineer, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of data scientists, product managers, and healthcare professionals to develop scalable, reliable, and innovative software solutions that meet the complex needs of precision medicine. Your work will contribute to enabling personalized treatment options, supporting groundbreaking research, and improving clinical workflows across the healthcare spectrum.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2+ years of professional experience in software development, with a strong foundation in building web applications or data processing systems. A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related STEM field is required, or equivalent practical experience. You should possess familiarity with web technologies and demonstrate proficiency in at least one common programming language.
Experience with both front-end and back-end development, along with database technologies, is essential. You should be capable of designing software solutions that align with functional and technical requirements and communicate your designs effectively. Critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration skills are vital, as you will work closely with product owners, data scientists, and designers to develop innovative solutions.
Additional helpful qualifications include an interest in healthcare and clinical research, familiarity with our technology stack (Vue.js, Java, Groovy, Grails, Kafka, Micronaut, MongoDB, Elasticsearch), and any professional or academic experience related to healthcare, biology, or genomics.
