About The Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Full Stack Developer (m/w/d) to join our innovative team at Haufe Group. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in scaling our product offerings and enhancing our digital solutions for small and micro-enterprises across Germany. Your primary focus will be on developing new workflows and processes that simplify and improve customer experiences, enabling our clients to manage their orders more efficiently and with greater clarity. You will collaborate closely with a newly formed team, challenging existing approaches and pioneering new paths to achieve our shared goal: delighted customers and seamless purchasing and sales journeys.

This position offers a flexible work environment, allowing you to work remotely or from our office in Freiburg im Breisgau. We value work-life balance and believe that a flexible working model fosters creativity and productivity. Team days in the office are scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays, providing opportunities for face-to-face collaboration and team bonding.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess several years of professional experience in building modern backend systems using Spring Boot and Java, complemented by a solid understanding of frontend technologies such as React, TypeScript, and Material UI. You should have extensive experience working with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL, and be proficient in cloud environments, especially AWS. Familiarity with data modeling, database optimization, migrations, and AI-native engineering is highly desirable. Strong communication skills and the ability to bridge development, product, and UX teams are essential. Fluency in German (minimum C2 level) is required to ensure effective collaboration within our team and with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end responsibility for the development and scaling of our product features, actively participating in requirement gathering, discovery phases, and delivery milestones.
• Design, implement, and maintain a modern microservice architecture, ensuring seamless communication between services and scalable infrastructure.
• Lead the integration of AI and automation workflows into our product ecosystem, shaping the future of work within our organization and contributing to initiatives like the frAIday.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements, evaluate new tools, and implement innovative solutions that support scalable growth.
• Mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
• Engage in proactive communication with stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
