The Role
The Role
- Lead and develop inclusive, high-performing engineering teams, setting clear objectives and fostering succession planning.
- Own end-to-end delivery for critical software, including requirements, architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, observability, and reliability.
- Raise engineering excellence with best practices and automation across code, testing, microservices/APIs, performance, and infrastructure.
- Partner with product, design, and operations to translate outcomes into measurable technical plans, guiding architecture modernization and cloud adoption.
- Represent engineering in program reviews and governance forums, ensuring compliance, risk management, and operational excellence.
- Proven leadership of software engineering teams building distributed systems and microservices in agile environments.
- Deep Java experience (Spring) and architectural patterns for scalable, observable, testable systems, with strong API design skills.
- Strong DevOps practices: CI/CD (e.g., GitLab), automated testing (JUnit/Spock), code reviews, telemetry, containers, and cloud.
- Hands-on AI development using modern tools and IDEs, with experience integrating AI into product workflows.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder influence, with the ability to simplify complexity and drive continuous improvement.
- Previous experience in financial services and corporate actions domain is preferred.
