Role Description The Officer, IT Software Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. This role is responsible for designing, developing,
testing, and maintaining software
applications that support plant operations, business processes, and internal systems. Daily tasks include
programming,
database design and maintenance, integrating front-end components such as
CSS, and troubleshooting
technical issues. The Officer, IT Software Engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, implement enhancements, ensure
data integrity, and optimize system performance. The role also involves preparing
technical documentation, supporting users, and contributing to continuous improvement of IT solutions aligned with corporate standards and
security policies.
Qualifications
- Strong foundational knowledge in Information Technology, including IT infrastructure concepts and system integration.
- Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience in relevant languages and frameworks used for enterprise applications.
- Hands-on experience working with Databases, including data modeling, queries, performance optimization, and basic administration tasks.
- Familiarity with Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and front-end integration to ensure responsive, user-friendly interfaces.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to analyze requirements, solve technical problems, and deliver reliable solutions within industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams on-site.
- Understanding of IT security, data protection, and basic networking concepts; prior experience in heavy industry or large-scale projects is an advantage.
