Full-Stack Software Engineer (Next.js) — Atlanta | Insurtech Startup | 5 Days Onsite
I'm recruiting on behalf of a venture-backed insurtech startup based in Atlanta that's rebuilding home insurance from the ground up. Legacy carriers run on outdated systems and rising costs - my client is replacing that with automated risk evaluation, computer-vision-based damage detection, and pricing that's actually fair to the customer.
They're a small, elite, fast-moving team and looking for a full-stack engineer who can own features end to end - from frontend implementation to the backend systems and data models underneath it.
The role
Frontend: You'll turn new product designs into production UI in their existing web application. Where designs leave gaps, you'll fill them with good judgment on layout, motion, and interaction. You'll build the transitions and UI polish that make the product feel considered.
Backend: You'll wire frontend components cleanly to backend APIs, get fluent in their data models, routing, and application flows, and collaborate directly with the engineering team to ship complete features. You'll be expected to write genuinely strong backend code and help improve performance, scalability, and security on systems already in production.
What they're looking for
Culture
This is a company that moves quickly and holds a high bar. Engineers are trusted to execute without micromanagement, and full ownership of your work is the expectation, not the exception.
