About the Opportunity:

The SENIOR FULL STACK ENGINEER leads the design and delivery of customer-facing product experiences and their supporting backend systems. This role spans frontend interfaces to backend services, APIs, and data flows, directly influencing how customers manage software delivery. The position requires partnering with cross-functional teams to create scalable, secure, and reliable systems that make complex capabilities accessible and useful.

Responsibilities:

• Lead design and delivery of large, complex initiatives across frontend and backend systems.
• Develop product experiences using technologies like TypeScript and React, and backend services with Go, Python, or similar.
• Translate customer and product goals into technical designs and incremental delivery plans.
• Own projects from discovery through implementation, launch, and iteration.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Data, and engineering leadership to balance usability, performance, security, and cost.
• Establish patterns to improve maintainability, developer experience, and quality.
• Enhance observability and operational health, participating in incident response as needed.
• Influence technical architecture and direction through documentation, code reviews, and discussions.
• Mentor engineers to develop technical judgment and product delivery skills.
• Represent customer needs in cross-functional decisions and link technical efforts to measurable outcomes.

Requirements:

• Over 7 years of experience building and operating production web applications with significant customer or business impact.
• Proven ability to lead complex projects across frontend and backend with ambiguous requirements.
• Strong experience with modern frontend frameworks like React and typed languages such as TypeScript.
• Robust backend experience in API, service, data store, or asynchronous system design and operation.
• Proficiency in backend languages like Go, Python, or Rust.
• Sound judgment regarding architecture, user experience, accessibility, performance, security, and maintainability.
• Strong product instincts linking technical decisions to customer and business goals.
• Effective communication and inclusive decision-making skills across teams.
• Experience mentoring engineers and improving technical practices.
• Ownership of the full lifecycle of systems and experiences.
• Adaptability to learn new systems and manage changing priorities collaboratively.

Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• Target pay ranges for Level 4 vary by geographic zone, e.g., $191,800 - $263,670 for Zone 1 (San Francisco/Bay Area, NYC Metropolitan Area, Boston, Seattle) and $172,600 for Zone 2 (Irvine, LA, Monterey, Santa Barbara, Santa Rosa, Austin, Portland, Philadelphia, Chicago).
