UI developer (Angular)

Job Summary

We are looking for a talented Frontend Engineer to design and develop modern, responsive, and secure web applications using Angular. The ideal candidate will work closely with UI/UX designers, backend engineers, and product teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and user-centric applications. You will play a key role in building reusable components, optimizing application performance, and following frontend engineering best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust, scalable, and secure frontend applications using Angular and/or React frameworks.
• Implement responsive and intuitive user interfaces, ensuring optimal performance and user experience across different devices and browsers.
• Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers, backend developers, and product owners to translate design mockups and wireframes into high-quality code.
• Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding, debugging, testing, and deployment.
• Develop reusable UI components and libraries to promote consistency and accelerate development cycles.
• Ensure technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Implement and adhere to secure coding best practices, addressing potential vulnerabilities like XSS and CSRF.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging frontend technologies and industry best practices.
• Contribute to code reviews, ensuring code quality, performance, and adherence to architectural standards.
  
  

Requirements

• Proficiency in JavaScript (including ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
• Expertise in at least one modern JavaScript framework, with strong preference for Angular and React.
• Familiarity with state management libraries (e.g., RxJS for Angular, Redux for React) is beneficial.
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.
• Knowledge of UI/UX design principles and the ability to work with design systems (e.g., DBS Digital Design Standard).
• Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Karma, Jasmine for Angular; Jest, React Testing Library for React) is a plus.
• Familiarity with build tools (e.g., Webpack, npm scripts) and package managers (npm, Yarn).
• Understanding of agile methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
