Software Developer (Remote)

About the Role

Sido Enterprise Corp. is seeking a Part-Time Remote Software Developer to support the continued development, enhancement, and maintenance of its FINTRAC-registered Money Services Business (MSB) platform and related business applications.

The successful candidate will refine existing systems, develop new features, improve user experience, integrate third-party services, and build secure, scalable, and high-performance software solutions. The role involves collaborating with internal stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions while following industry best practices for software development, security, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

Front-End Development

* Design, develop, and maintain responsive, modern, and user-friendly web interfaces.

* Convert UI/UX designs into functional, high-quality web applications.

* Enhance and refine existing user interfaces to improve usability and performance.

* Develop reusable front-end components and ensure consistency across applications.

* Integrate front-end applications with RESTful APIs and back-end services.

* Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness.

* Optimize front-end performance and user experience.

Back-End Development

* Design, develop, maintain, and enhance secure server-side applications.

* Build and maintain RESTful APIs and back-end services.

* Develop scalable database structures and optimize queries.

* Refine and enhance existing platform functionality while developing new features.

* Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, banking services, KYC/AML providers, and other financial technology solutions.

* Implement secure authentication, authorization, encryption, and data protection practices.

* Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.

* Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software issues.

* Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.

* Participate in code reviews and recommend improvements to development processes.

Qualifications

* Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

* Strong understanding of software architecture, object-oriented programming, algorithms, and data structures.

* Experience developing secure front-end and back-end web applications.

* Experience building and integrating RESTful APIs.

* Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases.

* Experience using Git and collaborative development workflows.

* Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

* Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing a part-time schedule.

* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

* Experience in FinTech, financial services, payment processing, banking, or Money Services Businesses (MSBs) is an asset.

* Experience with FINTRAC compliance, KYC/AML, payment gateways, banking APIs, or financial transaction systems is an asset.

* Experience in enterprise software, or business management platforms is an asset.
