Role Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to lead the technical design and delivery of web applications and business systems.

You will be responsible for more than implementing assigned features. You will analyse requirements, design system architecture, make technical decisions and oversee the delivery of solutions from initial planning through deployment and ongoing maintenance.

The successful candidate should be comfortable working across the full application stack and communicating directly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You should be able to balance engineering quality with commercial requirements, project timelines and long-term maintainability.

As part of a growing team, you will also help establish engineering standards, improve development processes and guide junior developers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline
• At least 2 years of professional software-development experience
• Demonstrated experience delivering full-stack applications into production
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
• Strong experience with React and modern frontend-development practices
• Experience building production applications with Next.js or a comparable framework
• Strong understanding of Node.js and backend application development
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs
• Strong working knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL
• Experience with database schema design, indexing, migrations and query optimisation
• Understanding of authentication, authorisation, session management and role-based permissions
• Proficiency with Git, pull requests, branching strategies and collaborative development workflows
• Experience deploying, monitoring and maintaining production applications
• Ability to independently investigate and resolve technical problems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must be based in Singapore and able to attend onsite meetings when required
