About The Role
Genesis10 is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer for a contract position within a global financial institution located in Kennesaw, GA. This is a nine-month engagement designed for professionals with a strong background in software development and architecture. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering complex technical solutions that align with business objectives. The role emphasizes creating maintainable, scalable, and well-integrated software solutions that meet both functional and non-functional requirements, including compliance standards. The Software Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams, providing technical leadership and mentorship, and driving
automation and best practices in software development processes.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer.
- Proficiency in multiple backend programming languages such as Python, Ansible, Java, C#, and Bash scripting.
- Deep understanding of data structures and object-oriented programming principles.
- Experience working with relational databases like Oracle or MySQL.
- Knowledge of application development methodologies and infrastructure architecture.
- Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
- Familiarity with project management tools such as JIRA, Remedy, or ServiceNow.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform spike/proof of concept activities to mitigate risks or explore new ideas.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to mentor team members effectively.
Responsibilities
- Develop, code, and perform unit testing to deliver requirements in accordance with acceptance criteria and compliance standards.
- Design, develop, and modify architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers, ensuring architectural integrity is maintained.
- Mentor fellow software engineers and promote best practices in CI/CD and automation to enhance team productivity.
- Participate in story refinement sessions, requirement definition, and work estimation to ensure timely delivery.
- Conduct spike activities and proofs of concept to evaluate new technologies or mitigate project risks.
- Automate manual release activities to streamline deployment processes.
- Create and maintain automated test suites, including integration, regression, and performance tests.
- Deliver complex features and technological solutions that improve development efficiency and quality.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance based on multiple successful software implementations.
- Ensure end-to-end solution design, development, and delivery meet project requirements and quality standards.
