Role Overview

Seeking an experienced Senior React Developer to design, build and maintain modern, enterprise-grade web applications. Successful candidate will bring strong expertise in React, TypeScript, API-driven architectures and component-based user interface development. Familiarity with Pega Constellation, Pega DX APIs or a comparable low-code or case management platform would be highly desirable.

You will work within an agile, multidisciplinary team, collaborating with architects, UX designers, business analysts, quality engineers and platform specialists to deliver scalable, accessible and maintainable digital services.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop responsive, accessible and high-performing web applications using React and TypeScript.
• Build reusable UI components, design patterns and shared front-end libraries.
• Integrate front-end applications with REST APIs and enterprise back-end services.
• Work with UX and design teams to deliver intuitive user experiences aligned with enterprise design systems.
• Implement appropriate approaches to state management, routing, authentication and application security.
• Contribute to solution design, technical architecture reviews, estimation and delivery planning.
• Collaborate with Pega delivery teams to configure, extend or integrate Constellation-based user experiences where required.
• Ensure solutions meet agreed standards for performance, accessibility, scalability, maintainability and security.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and DevOps practices.
• Mentor less experienced developers and help establish engineering standards and reusable practices.

Required Skills and Experience

Essential

• At least five years of commercial experience developing modern web applications.
• Strong practical expertise in React and TypeScript.
• Excellent knowledge of JavaScript, including modern ES6+ features and patterns.
• Experience with HTML5, CSS3, SASS and responsive user interface design.
• Experience consuming RESTful APIs and JSON-based services.
• Familiarity with contemporary front-end tooling such as Vite, Webpack, npm and Git.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress or equivalent.
• Sound understanding of secure software development and common front-end security risks.
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum delivery environments.
• Strong communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills.

Desirable

• Experience with Pega Platform, Pega Constellation, Pega DX API or Pega Customer Service.
• Experience extending model-driven or API-driven user experiences while preserving platform standards and upgradeability.
• Experience building component libraries or contributing to enterprise design systems.
• Knowledge of Azure, AWS or other cloud-native architectures.
• Experience with GraphQL, micro-frontends or composable front-end architectures.
• Understanding of low-code platforms, case management, CRM or workflow solutions.
• Experience delivering services in regulated sectors such as government, healthcare, financial services, insurance or transport.
• Practical knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility requirements.
