Our client is looking to someone who you will design and build scalable backend systems while collaborating closely with global engineering, product, finance, and operations teams. This is a highly autonomous position suited for engineers who enjoy solving complex technical challenges in a modern cloud-native environment.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable backend systems and services
• Lead projects from architecture through deployment
• Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams
• Build reliable, maintainable, and high-performance systems
• Contribute to modernizing financial infrastructure in Japan

Requirements:

• Fluent (JLPT N1 OR native level Japanese and Business level English
• Strong backend development experience with Go, Java, Kotlin, Rust, Scala, C# OR C++
• Experience with system design and scalable architectures
• Hands-on experience with GCP, PostgreSQL, gRPC, and protobuf
• Ideally experience in working in the financial domain
