The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving the entire software development lifecycle, collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions. They will work on a variety of projects, including system design, integration,
testing, and deployment, ensuring that all software solutions adhere to

Qualifications
Candidates should possess a combination of foundational, intermediate, and advanced technical skills aligned with the role’s requirements. A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in software development, particularly in
C#, is essential. A post-secondary degree in
computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of
education and experience, is required. Deep knowledge of programming languages, application integration, system development lifecycle, and troubleshooting is vital. Experience working within the banking or financial industry, especially with market risk, VaR, and financial instruments, is highly preferred.
Foundational skills include creative thinking, relationship management, and emotional agility. Intermediate skills encompass quality assurance,
cloud computing,
microservices architecture, and effective communication. Advanced proficiency in programming, application integration, test-driven development, and system lifecycle management is essential for success in this role. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills, adaptability, learning agility, and the ability to work independently on complex projects.
Responsibilities
- Translate user needs and business requirements into detailed technical specifications, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance standards.
- Design, develop, test, and implement new software solutions, maintaining comprehensive documentation throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on existing systems, troubleshooting issues, and implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Ensure that all code and configurations meet security, logging, error handling, and performance standards, adhering to non-functional requirements.
- Evaluate emerging technologies for potential integration into existing systems, assessing impacts on processes, data integrity, and risk management.
- Follow release management protocols, applying version control and managing deployment processes efficiently.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to interpret and document client requirements, providing technical expertise and support.
