About the job

At VerdAI, we are building the compliance platform for sustainable investments. Our AI-powered software helps banks, asset managers and pension funds document that their sustainable funds meet EU regulation, replacing large manual spreadsheets with automated assessments where every conclusion is traceable to its source. Our production MVP is live today and is being tested by a Danish bank and two asset managers. Demand for transparent, auditable compliance tools is growing fast, and VerdAI is building the infrastructure for it.

The position

VerdAI was founded in 2026 and is self-funded by its founders. We have a working product in production, and our next step is to make it ready for more customers. We are looking for a full stack developer to take the MVP further and help build a platform that can scale.

You will work hands-on with development across the full stack, from architecture to frontend. Your main tasks will be to further develop our MVP, including:

  • Building multi-org support with workspaces, role-based access and team collaboration
  • Integrating EU-hosted language models (e.g. Mistral) for clients with data residency requirements
  • Building a shared knowledge base so documents and data are reused across users
  • Integrating new data sources and APIs into the platform
  • Developing existing features in the frontend (Next.js) and backend (FastAPI)
  • Debugging and fixing issues across the platform
  • Building automated tests and quality assurance of the platform's output
  • Technical documentation of changes and data models
  • Ownership of hosting and infrastructure, including deployment, monitoring, scaling and security of the platform

You will work closely with our CPO and CEO. We keep overhead and bureaucracy to a minimum, which means you have real influence on how we build, prioritise and deliver new features.

Our tech stack

  • Frontend: Next.js
  • Backend: FastAPI (Python)
  • Database and auth: Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security and PKCE authentication
  • AI: Model-agnostic architecture supporting OpenAI, Claude, Mistral and HuggingFace models
  • Security: CSP headers, rate limiting and per-run PDF isolation

What we're looking for

You don't have to tick every box, but you should feel confident working in our stack. What matters is that you are an experienced developer who takes ownership and gets things done.

Here's what would be a good fit:

  • Experience with React/Next.js or equivalent for web applications
  • RESTful APIs in Python/FastAPI or similar
  • Supabase (PostgreSQL) or other SQL databases
  • TypeScript and JavaScript
  • Continuous integration and test automation
  • An MVP-driven approach to development
  • Focus on quality, security and doing things right

You get extra points if you:

  • Have experience with LLMs, RAG or multi-agent architectures
  • Have worked with EU-hosted or self-hosted models
  • Have experience with multi-tenant SaaS and role-based access
  • Have a GitHub or similar account with sample code
  • Have worked in fintech or other regulated environments

What's in it for you?

  • Help build infrastructure that makes sustainable investments more transparent
  • Real ownership and influence on architecture and product from day one
  • An early-stage startup journey with a small, experienced team
  • Flexible working hours
  • Office at Ryvangs Allé 81, Hellerup

Reporting line

Directly to the CEO.

Compensation

Competitive salary / warrant programme.
