Full-Stack Software Developer
Oceania

About the role:
AusRehab, a NSW workplace rehabilitation provider, is building a new in-house software platform to manage leads, cases, invoicing, communications, and audits — with a significant agentic AI component at its core. We're hiring two developers into equivalent full-stack roles; there's no split between a "backend hire" and a "frontend hire." In a small team, flexibility outweighs the depth gained by over-specialising at this stage.
What the role covers:
1. Agentic engineering — designing and implementing practical agentic solutions to real-world problems in the health industry. Not a pure research role, but some research and experimentation is expected
2. Full-stack web and mobile app development — front-end, back-end, database, telemetry, analytics, and reporting for in-house apps managing leads, cases, invoicing, communications, and audits
3. Infrastructure & DevOps — primarily AWS and GitHub (source control and CI/CD), with possible Docker/Kubernetes work ahead. Everyone owns their own infrastructure — no separate ops team to hand this off to
4. Direct stakeholder engagement — working with non-technical business stakeholders (case consultants, employment consultants, admin, and accounts staff) to understand, resolve, and train them on what gets built, alongside product management
The work is mostly integration and product engineering, connecting systems that don't currently talk to each other. The right person can hold the full picture, move between layers without needing a specialist for every handoff, and judge where to go deep vs move fast.
