Senior Full Stack Engineer (React/Node) – DeliveryTech, Cyprus

Salary: €70,000 to €90,000 + bonus

Location: Cyprus (Paphos), hybrid (2 days in office for collaborative architecture and design sessions)

Our client is a UK delivery operation moving millions of parcels, newspapers, and essentials every week for clients like Morrisons and Amazon.

Now they're ready for the next chapter. They're completely rewriting their platform, taking two decades of hard-won domain expertise and rebuilding it with a modern stack across the Node.js ecosystem: React on the frontend, TypeScript end-to-end, and the freedom to make the right architectural decisions without legacy constraints. Greenfield work, informed by real-world scale.

This is a rare setup: enterprise stability with the pace of a well-funded start-up. They've already made their money, and now they're investing in engineering talent to build something exceptional. Day one, you'll be hands-on helping architect and build the new platform. Over time, as the engineering team grows around you, you'll step into leading it. And in a company of several hundred staff, you'll have direct access to the CEO and CTO from the start. That actually means something here. No layers. No politics. Just thoughtful engineering at pace.

How We Work

Two days a week in the Paphos office for collaborative sessions: whiteboarding architecture, working through design decisions together, and pairing on the hard problems. The other three are yours to focus and build. The office days exist because the best architectural decisions happen with people in the same room, not because we want bums on seats.

The Opportunity to Step Up

This is a senior role with a clear path to engineering lead, eventually heading up a team of 5. You'll be one of the most technical people in the room from day one, architecting the platform, setting standards, and growing the engineers who join as the team scales. What You'll Do

• Architect and build the new platform across the full Node.js stack: React, TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL
• Start hands-on, and grow into leading a team of 5 engineers as it scales, setting technical direction, unblocking people, and raising the bar
• Make architectural decisions that will scale for the next decade
• Mentor engineers as they join, reviewing code, running design discussions, and helping the team grow
• Work directly with the CEO and CTO to define requirements and translate them into working software
• Take full ownership of features and systems from concept to production
• Build tools that drivers, dispatchers, and operations teams rely on every day
• Ship thoughtfully and iterate based on real feedback from real users

Who You Are

• 5+ years of full-stack development experience, having shipped and scaled production software
• Strong React experience, having built web apps that real users depend on
• Deep TypeScript/Node.js skills, comfortable designing APIs, data models, and system architecture
• Experience mentoring or leading other engineers, formally or informally
• Ready to step into a lead role running a team of 5. You want ownership of technical direction and people, not just tickets
• Product-minded. You think about users first, not just code correctness
• Excellent communicator. You can talk to leadership about trade-offs and to engineers about implementation
• Thrive with autonomy and care about craft. You own your work and hold a high bar
