The role

We're hiring a Backend Developer to own the server side of our products: APIs, data, queues, integrations, and the AI agents and automations at the core of what we build. You'll take features from database to deployment, and you'll use Claude AI as a daily tool both to ship faster and to build AI-powered features.

What you'll do

• Design and build backend services and REST APIs in Node.js.
• Model and query PostgreSQL (we write SQL directly; ORMs where they fit).
• Build background jobs, schedulers, and event-driven workflows (queues).
• Integrate third-party systems and APIs (Google, marketplaces, CRMs, payments, messaging).
• Build AI features: LLM integrations, AI agents and action agents, automations, and knowledge bases.
• Deploy to the cloud and keep it running, monitoring, fixes, releases.
• Use Claude AI / Claude Code every day to design, write, review, and debug.
  

Must-have

• Strong Node.js and JavaScript (TypeScript a big plus).
• Solid SQL and relational data modeling (PostgreSQL).
• Comfortable with REST APIs, async programming, Git, and the command line.
• You actually build with Claude AI: prompting, the Anthropic API and/or Claude Code, and ideally building agents/automations with it.
• You ship, you can take a task from idea to running in production.
• Clear written English and good communication (remote team).
• Reliable internet and a self-driven work ethic.
  

Nice to have

• Redis + job queues (BullMQ), cron/event-driven systems.
• Next.js, tRPC, Drizzle, or similar; Google Cloud (Cloud Run, Cloud SQL); Docker; CI/CD.
• Headless browser automation (Puppeteer); building MCP servers or RAG/vector search.
• Full-stack/mobile exposure (React, Expo) a bonus.
