About The Role
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in building and maintaining real-time event-based systems that drive our core betting and gaming functionalities. You will join the Offers team, where your primary focus will be on empowering the business to create new bonus mechanics swiftly and efficiently, without heavy reliance on technical teams.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to work as part of a full-stack team, leveraging a diverse set of technologies including Go, Typescript, React, SQL, and Kafka. You will gain valuable experience working with open-source technologies and deploying all systems and services to Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems that meet evolving business needs. Qualifications
- Experience leading development teams and delivering complex technical projects successfully.
- Strong passion for coaching, mentoring, and developing fellow developers.
- Ability to prioritize people and team well-being alongside process efficiency.
- Proven problem-solving skills within fast-paced and dynamic environments.
- Commercial experience working with Cloud Platforms, particularly GCP or similar providers.
- Proficiency in React and Typescript for front-end development.
- Hands-on experience with Golang microservices architecture.
- Exposure to C#, .NET, MSSQL, or WPF is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Act as an escalation point for the team both during and outside of office hours, ensuring swift resolution of issues.
- Lead the design and development of scalable, maintainable, and high-performance systems aligned with business objectives.
- Apply active governance around solution design to ensure consistency, security, and quality standards are maintained.
- Set and uphold high standards for code quality, testing, and delivery processes.
- Ensure that technical solutions effectively meet business requirements and user expectations.
- Participate in work estimation, planning, and comprehensive solution documentation processes.
- Own end-to-end technical solutions from development through to deployment and live operation.
- Distribute knowledge across the team, mentor junior developers, and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
