We are adding an Associate
Web Developer to our team to help build and maintain internal tools for our current project with a Paris-based client. This client manages complex operations that require precise tracking, and you will be working on the dashboards and
data connectors that keep their staff organized. At Pixel Systems, we do not build marketing sites or flashy apps that
people forget after ten minutes. Instead, we focus on the practical systems that businesses rely on every day, such as admin panels and
data synchronization tools. This is a permanent, full-time role that is fully remote.
About Pixel Systems
Pixel Systems is a small software agency that operates entirely remotely. We focus on solving operational headaches through straightforward software. Our clients come to us when their spreadsheets have become too large to manage or when their different software tools refuse to communicate with each other. We are a team of
people who prefer working code over perfect plans. We provide our clients with fixed quotes, constant updates, and a finished product that includes clear documentation and walkthrough videos. We use tried-and-tested technologies like Node,
React, and Postgres because we value stability and ease of maintenance. We are a senior team, but we are looking for junior talent who appreciates a no-drama environment and practical work.
The Role
In this position, you will help us build the functional parts of the
web. A typical day might involve writing code to move
data between the systems our Paris-based client uses or cleaning up a legacy codebase to make it more efficient. You will work on both the front-end components that users see and the back-end logic that handles the
data. We believe in transparency, so you will participate in our weekly demos where we show our progress to the client. You will also help create the documentation that explains how the tools we build actually work. Because we are a remote company, you will spend your time writing code and communicating with the team through written updates and occasional video calls.
What You Bring - A basic understanding of modern JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- The ability to write code that is clean and easy for another person to read.
- A logical approach to solving problems and an interest in how data is structured.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage your own tasks in a remote setting.
- Comfort with admitting when you are stuck and asking for clarification when a task is unclear.
- An interest in building tools that solve real business problems rather than just chasing trends.
- A professional approach to communication, especially when writing documentation or updates.
Helpful Background
While this is an entry-level position, it is helpful if you have some familiarity with the tools we use every day. We do not expect you to be an expert, but having explored these areas through personal projects or studies will help you get started:
- Experience experimenting with React or another JavaScript framework.
- Basic knowledge of Node.js and how servers work.
- An understanding of how to store and retrieve data using SQL or Postgres.
- Familiarity with Git and GitHub for keeping track of code changes.
- An interest in how APIs are used to link different software services together.
Working at Pixel Systems
Working here means focusing on the work itself. We do not have layers of middle management or endless meetings that could have been an email. We value results and clear communication. Since we are a fully remote team, you have the flexibility to set up your workspace in a way that helps you focus. This is a paid position, and the compensation is competitive for an entry-level role in the current market. You will have the chance to learn from senior developers who have been building systems for years. We ship work that is used by real
people, such as operations managers and logistics teams, which means your contributions have a visible effect on how businesses run.
At Pixel Systems, we pride ourselves on being the team that fixes things and makes them work reliably. We take our commitments to our clients seriously, and we expect everyone on our team to do the same. If you enjoy the satisfaction of building a tool that works exactly as intended and helps someone do their job more effectively, you will fit in well here. We are a small, stable group that values professional growth and clear, honest work above all else.
