JD for Senior Backend Developer (Nest.js / TypeScript)

We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer with strong expertise in Nest.js and TypeScript to

help build scalable, high-performance backend services that power our web and mobile

applications. You will work closely with product managers, designers, frontend developers, and

DevOps to architect and deliver solutions that meet business needs and delight users.

Key Responsibilities

● Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Nest.js and TypeScript

● Collaborate with frontend teams (e.g., Next.js) for API integrations and cohesive

product development

● Build and maintain RESTful APIs to support web and mobile platforms

● Implement authentication/authorization flows (e.g., JWT, OAuth2) and role-based

access control

● Work with PostgreSQL and Redis for data modeling and query optimization

● Write and maintain unit/integration tests using Vitest or similar frameworks

● Drive code reviews, set development best practices, and mentor junior team members

● Collaborate with DevOps to manage CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and

cloud deployments

● Monitor system health and troubleshoot issues using observability tools (e.g.,

Prometheus, Grafana, Sentry)

Minimum Qualifications

● 5+ years of backend development ,including 2+years in Nestjs .

● Strong experience in NestJS and TypeScript, with hands-on experience in building scalable and maintainable backend applications.

● Proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, and modern JavaScript ES6+

● Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, and backend service design

● Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL, and use of ORMs (e.g.,

TypeORM, Prisma)

● Solid grasp of software architecture principles, including microservices and

monorepos

● Experience deploying and monitoring services in cloud environments

(AWS/GCP/Azure)

● Familiarity with API versioning, rate limiting, and error handling best practices

Preferred Qualifications

● Experience working in Next.js environments and knowledge of frontend-backend

contracts

● Familiarity with event-driven architecture, message queues (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka)

● Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or similar

● Understanding of security best practices for backend applications

● Contributions to open-source projects or active GitHub profile

● Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and project tracking tools (e.g., Jira)
