About The Role

This Software Engineer II position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to J.P. Morgan’s Asset & Wealth Management division. As a vital member of the agile Tools Team, you will be instrumental in enhancing, designing, and delivering secure, scalable, and innovative software components for the firm's advanced technology products. Your role involves executing software solutions through the entire development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, and troubleshooting. You will work with cross-functional teams to develop high-quality, user-centric applications that meet stringent security and performance standards. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a combination of formal training and practical experience in software engineering. A strong understanding of UX/UI design principles, including building modern, accessible interfaces, is essential. Experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability within large corporate environments is highly desirable. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate knowledge of agile methodologies, CI/CD practices, and application resiliency and security frameworks. Responsibilities

  • Execute standard software solutions, including design, development, and troubleshooting of technical components.
  • Write secure, high-quality code using at least one programming language with minimal guidance.
  • Leverage enterprise-approved AI coding assist tools to improve code quality, speed, and productivity, ensuring outputs are validated through peer reviews and automated testing.
  • Design, develop, and troubleshoot software components considering upstream and downstream system implications.
  • Utilize tools within the SDLC, including AI-assisted development and automation, to enhance automation and efficiency.
  • Apply technical troubleshooting skills to resolve basic to moderate complexity issues.
  • Analyze large, diverse data sets to identify issues and support decision-making for secure and stable application development.
  • Learn and apply system processes, methodologies, and best practices for developing secure, reliable, and scalable systems.
