We are looking for a Senior Python Engineer to join our team in Cracow. In this role, you will work closely with cybersecurity experts to develop and deliver software solutions that enhance security for our banking services. You will engage in a variety of engineering activities, including building REST API services, developing data pipelines, and automating testing processes. Your tasks

• Designing, developing, and deploying REST API services for internal users
• Building data pipelines and ETL jobs to support data integration
• Collaborating with cybersecurity experts to refine requirements and propose new solutions
• Adhering to microservice design principles to ensure scalability and maintainability of services
• Conducting L2/L3 troubleshooting and bug fixing for existing services
• Writing automated test cases and technical documentation to support delivered code
• Performing peer reviews and mentoring junior developers in the team
• Identifying bottlenecks in the development process and proposing improvements
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Python web development using frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django
• Strong understanding of microservice architectures and concepts like CQRS, SAGA, and event sourcing
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes
• Proficient in SQL programming with the ability to construct complex queries
• Knowledge of cloud data warehouse technologies such as BigQuery and RedShift
• Strong sysadmin skills in Linux and a solid understanding of networking concepts
• Familiarity with Git and various branching strategies
• Good understanding of frontend development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Knowledge of agile and DevSecOps processes, with experience using tools like Jira and Confluence
• Advanced level of English
• Willingness to work from the Kraków office six times per month
