Senior AI Software Engineer (Full-Stack) | £90k-£110k | Remote

We’re hiring a senior engineer to take AI features from prototype to production in financial services. You’ll build the services, interfaces and integrations that put large language models in front of advisers, analysts and banking teams. You’ll own features end to end, from choosing the right model through to deployment, monitoring and iteration, across backend, frontend and cloud.

What you’ll do

  • Ship production AI products using LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and agentic workflows.
  • Choose models, design prompts and orchestration, and build with tools like LangGraph and Langfuse.
  • Set up evaluation, monitoring and observability so AI features are reliable before and after release.
  • Build event-driven microservices and APIs in Node.js and TypeScript.
  • Create responsive React interfaces that make AI useful in real customer workflows.
  • Design cloud-native systems on AWS (Lambda, ECS/Fargate, API Gateway, SQS/SNS, DynamoDB, RDS).
  • Improve live systems on reliability, latency, cost and output quality.
  • Mentor other engineers and work closely with product to raise the team’s standards.

What you’ll bring

  • A strong software engineering background, including running LLM or AI applications in production.
  • Hands-on Node.js, TypeScript and React at a professional level.
  • Practical experience with prompt engineering, RAG, agentic workflows and LLM integration.
  • Knowledge of AI evaluation, monitoring and observability.
  • A solid grasp of AWS, APIs, microservices, messaging and distributed, event-driven design.
  • A commitment to clean code, automated testing and CI/CD.
  • Clear communication with technical and non-technical colleagues.

Advantageous to have

  • NestJS or similar backend frameworks.
  • LangGraph, Langfuse or comparable orchestration and observability tools.
  • Experience building AI in regulated or high-trust environments, ideally financial services.
  • Systematic evaluation of LLM and agent outputs.
  • Agentic systems you’ve delivered in production.
