Role Description This full-time remote Graduate Software Engineer role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions that support Equity House’s mission. You will work with senior engineers to implement back-end services, write clean and efficient code, and contribute to scalable web applications. Daily tasks include participating in code reviews, debugging and resolving issues, writing automated tests, and documenting technical designs. You will collaborate with product and design teams to refine requirements, improve user experiences, and deliver iterative improvements. The role offers mentorship, learning opportunities, and exposure to modern development practices and tools.
Qualifications

• Solid foundation in Computer Science principles, including data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Ability to perform Back-End Web Development, including building and maintaining APIs and server-side logic.
• Experience with Software Development practices, such as version control, testing, and continuous integration.
• Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) using at least one modern language (e.g., Python, Java, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript).
• Relevant degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn new technologies.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate in remote, cross-functional teams.
• Interest in building products that expand economic and learning opportunities for young people is highly beneficial.
