Role Description The Founding Software Engineer will design and build core backend systems that power deterministic context delivery for coding agents, including APIs, services, and data pipelines. This full-time remote role involves collaborating closely with the founding team on architecture decisions, implementing scalable and secure infrastructure, and integrating AI models and tooling into production-ready services. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing high-quality, well-tested code, reviewing code from peers, optimizing performance, and improving reliability across the stack. The role also includes contributing to technical strategy, documenting design choices, and helping establish engineering best practices and development workflows. As a founding team member, the engineer will play a key role in shaping the product roadmap and company culture.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and systems fundamentals.
  • Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development and Software Development, building and maintaining production services.
  • Proficiency in Programming using modern languages (e.g., Python, TypeScript, Go, Rust, or similar) and development tools.
  • Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and clean software design practices.
  • Experience designing scalable APIs, microservices, or distributed systems, ideally in cloud-native environments.
  • Comfort working in an early-stage startup environment, including owning features end-to-end and operating with autonomy.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, clear written and verbal communication, and collaborative working style in remote teams.
  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with AI/ML infrastructure, developer tools, or coding assistants is a plus.
  • Familiarity with version control, CI/CD, testing frameworks, and observability tools is beneficial.
