Position: Full Stack Technical Lead - Fintech

Location: El Poblado, Medellín, Colombia

At ArrowFin, we build the technology that powers our clients' trading activity directly on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME). We develop our own software only, no outsourcing, no third party client work, backed by an engineering team focused on real time systems and distributed architecture.

We're hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer (Technical Lead) for a hybrid role based out of our office in El Poblado, Medellín. The role has two parts: ship production code on our real time streaming trading products, and serve as the technical anchor and mentor for our local engineering team during your in-office days. You would be backed up by our Principal Engineers and Project Managers who are experts in the field of trading software development.

What you'll do

🔹 Design and build resilient backend microservices and REST APIs, plus complex, high performance frontend interfaces

🔹 Lead code reviews, mentor mid level engineers, and translate product requirements into clear technical specs

🔹 Maintain WebSocket data flows, optimize PostgreSQL queries, and enforce strict multi tenant data isolation and security

🔹 Act as the primary technical responder during Colombia business hours for staging and production incidents

What you bring (required)

✅ B2 or higher English, based in or around Medellín, or open to relocating (hybrid role, regular office days required)

✅ 7+ years in professional full stack web development, including 2+ years in a Senior or Tech Lead role

✅ Deep expertise in Node.js / TypeScript (NestJS) and clean / hexagonal architecture, with willingness to work in a polyglot backend environment

✅ Strong command of React + TypeScript, state management, and high frequency UI components

✅ Solid PostgreSQL experience (query optimization, indexing, migrations) and WebSockets or event driven patterns

Nice to have

➕ Background in fintech, trading, brokerage, or other low latency regulated environments

➕ Familiarity or interest in Rust

➕ Exposure to DevOps and observability tooling (Docker, Prometheus, Grafana)
