About the Company
Tattoo Projects is a growing creative agency focused on interactive digital experiences and web applications. The team works closely across development, design, and leadership to deliver thoughtful digital solutions for clients. The agency is looking for a developer who can contribute to its technical direction, improve internal processes, and help shape the future of its projects.
About the Role
Tattoo Projects is seeking an experienced Full Stack Web Developer to build, maintain, and improve web applications across both the front end and back end. This role involves the full development lifecycle, from translating design concepts and technical requirements into responsive applications to integrating APIs, managing databases, troubleshooting issues, and improving application performance.
You’ll work directly with engineers, designers, and leadership to deliver client projects, improve existing applications, and identify practical ways to make development more efficient. The team is looking for someone who can take ownership of their work, manage projects, contribute ideas, and collaborate effectively rather than simply execute assigned coding tasks.
Key Responsibilities
•Develop and maintain responsive, interactive web applications across the front end and back end.
•Participate in application architecture, coding, debugging, testing, and deployment.
•Translate project specifications and design concepts into functional, high-quality applications.
•Build responsive user interfaces with attention to detail, visual quality, and brand consistency.
•Integrate first-party and third-party APIs, including GraphQL and REST APIs.
•Work with content management systems and develop both headless and traditional CMS-based applications.
•Troubleshoot application issues and conduct UI testing to improve performance and reliability.
•Improve existing applications, modernize legacy systems, and recommend suitable technologies for future development.
•Create reusable code and libraries that support efficient development and consistent results.
•Collaborate with designers and cross-functional teams to meet technical and creative requirements.
•Help manage projects, coordinate development work, and contribute to internal processes where needed.
•Provide technical training and support, and prepare clear documentation and development guides.
•Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to application performance, scalability, security, and maintainability.
Required Qualifications
•At least 3 years of professional experience in full-stack development or a similar role, with front-end and back-office development knowledge.
•Strong understanding of the complete web development lifecycle, including design, development, and deployment.
•Ability to develop pixel-accurate, responsive user interfaces and handle server-side scripting, API integrations, and database management.
•Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript, with a strong understanding of core front-end fundamentals.
•Experience with one or more CMS platforms, such as WordPress, Hygraph, or Contentful.
•Experience building headless and traditional web applications using GraphQL and/or REST APIs.
•Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks and tools, such as Svelte/SvelteKit, Tailwind CSS, and Vite.
•Knowledge of one or more back-end languages, such as PHP, C#, Python, or Node.js.
•Basic proficiency with Git and version control.
•Ability to write clean, maintainable, well-documented code.
•Strong time management, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
•Ability to manage multiple tasks, translate requirements into completed projects, and communicate effectively with clients and internal teams.
•Must be based in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
•Experience with Svelte or SvelteKit.
•Experience in an agency environment.
•Additional experience in DevOps, security, or infrastructure.
•Candidates based on the East Coast are preferred, with North Carolina or Pennsylvania being a plus.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
•Ownership of development work and the ability to manage projects from requirements through delivery.
•A collaborative approach to working with designers, developers, leadership, and clients.
•Willingness to share ideas, evaluate technical options, and help shape project direction.
•An interest in improving development processes and finding practical solutions to creative and technical challenges.
Compensation & Benefits
•Fully paid benefits.
•401(k) plan with a 3% employer match.
•Fully remote position with no relocation required.
•Opportunity to work with an experienced development team and a diverse range of clients.
•The chance to influence project direction, contribute to team processes, and help shape the agency’s technology approach.
