Role Description The Software Engineer / Software Developer / Application Developer role at Ecosistema Gallego de Innovación, Moda y Cultura ® is a full-time remote position focused on designing, building, and maintaining software applications that support the organization’s innovation, fashion, and culture initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing secure and scalable back-end services, implementing application features, writing clean and efficient code, and integrating APIs and databases. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, translating technical and business needs into robust solutions, and participating in code reviews to ensure high-quality standards. The developer will also be expected to troubleshoot and debug issues, optimize performance, contribute to technical documentation, and continuously improve systems through testing and iteration. Staying current with modern development practices and tools is essential to support ongoing innovation within the ecosystem.
Qualifications

• Solid foundation in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, and software engineering principles.
• Hands-on experience in Software Development and Programming, with proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript).
• Practical experience in Back-End Web Development, including RESTful APIs, database integration, and server-side frameworks.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and ability to design modular, maintainable codebases.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed team environment with strong communication and time-management skills.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and basic DevOps practices is beneficial.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
