Role Description This part-time remote API Developer role at T2B Educação focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and scalable APIs that support the company’s educational platforms and services. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing new endpoints, optimizing existing integrations, and ensuring high performance and reliability across systems. The API Developer will collaborate with product, QA, and front-end teams to translate requirements into technical solutions, troubleshoot integration issues, and improve documentation for internal and external stakeholders. The role also involves monitoring API usage, implementing best practices for versioning and error handling, and contributing to continuous improvement of the overall architecture.
Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in at least one backend programming language commonly used for API development (e.g., Node.js, Python, Java, or .NET) and familiarity with RESTful and JSON-based services.
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining APIs, including authentication/authorization, rate limiting, pagination, and error handling.
• Knowledge of databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), data modeling, and writing efficient queries to support API performance and reliability.
• Hands-on experience with API documentation tools (e.g., OpenAPI/Swagger), testing frameworks, and debugging tools.
• Understanding of cloud platforms or hosting environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and basic DevOps practices such as CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with security best practices, including handling sensitive data, encryption in transit, and secure coding standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment, communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and manage time effectively in a part-time schedule.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience; previous experience in EdTech or educational platforms is a plus.
