Role Description
The Marketing Content Manager is responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing content strategies that drive brand awareness, audience engagement, lead generation, and customer retention. This role oversees the creation and management of high-quality content across multiple channels while ensuring alignment with brand voice, business objectives, and customer needs.
Key responsibilities include developing content strategies and editorial calendars aligned with marketing and business goals. The role plans, creates, edits, and distributes content across formats such as website copy, blog articles, landing pages, email campaigns, social media posts, video scripts, case studies, whitepapers, and sales enablement materials.
The position collaborates closely with marketing, product, design, and sales teams to ensure content supports campaigns, product launches, SEO objectives, and conversion goals. It ensures consistency in messaging, tone, and branding across all communication channels.
In addition, the role analyzes content performance using metrics such as traffic, engagement, SEO rankings, conversion rates, and campaign effectiveness. It uses data-driven insights to refine content strategies, improve performance, and increase ROI.
The role also monitors industry trends, competitor content strategies, and emerging digital platforms to identify opportunities for innovation and growth. It continuously improves content workflows, editorial standards, and content governance practices.
Qualifications
Strong understanding of content marketing, digital marketing, brand storytelling, SEO, customer journey mapping, and audience engagement strategies. Ability to develop and execute strategic content plans across multiple channels.
Proficiency in content management systems (CMS), SEO tools, analytics platforms, marketing automation tools, and digital publishing systems. Familiarity with CRM systems and performance tracking tools is an advantage.
Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills with the ability to produce clear, compelling, and audience-focused content tailored to different platforms and stages of the customer journey.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to interpret content performance data and optimize strategies based on insights.
Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple content pipelines, deadlines, and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. Creativity, adaptability, and attention to detail are essential.
