Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Programmer role based in Malang. The Programmer will design, develop, test, and maintain back-end components and web applications, primarily using PHP and related technologies. Daily responsibilities include writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code, implementing new features, fixing bugs, and optimizing application performance. The role involves collaborating with other developers, designers, and project managers to understand requirements, refine technical solutions, and support deployment activities. The Programmer will also participate in code reviews, follow established coding standards, and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Feature Development: Develop website features according to agreed requirements and project timelines.
• Backend & Frontend Development: Develop, maintain, and manage backend systems using Golang, Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI based on project needs and development standards.
• API Design & Integration: Design, implement, and integrate REST APIs for frontend consumption and third-party system integrations.
• Performance Optimization: Optimize application performance to ensure systems remain scalable, secure, and maintainable.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with frontend developers, UI/UX designers, and QA teams throughout the application development process.
• Bug Fixing & Code Improvement: Perform debugging, bug fixes, and code quality improvements to prevent recurring issues.
• System Continuity: Continue and develop code from previous programmers without disrupting existing running systems.
• Version Control Management: Manage source code using Git and ensure every change is safe and does not introduce errors to the existing system.
• Technical Documentation: Prepare technical documentation related to features, modules, or APIs being developed.
• Technical Support: Provide technical support when needed for both internal teams and clients.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Minimum D3/S1 in Informatics Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields.
• Work Experience: Minimum 1–3 years of experience as a Web Developer or Fullstack Developer.
• API Development: Experience building REST APIs using Golang, Node.js, or Python.
• Backend Technologies: Experience working with backend technologies such as: Golang (Gin), Python (Django / Flask / FastAPI). Node.js (Express / NestJS).
• Frontend Technologies: Experience developing frontend applications using React, Vue, or Angular (TypeScript on React is a plus).
• Database Knowledge: Understanding of relational databases and NoSQL databases.
• Web Security: Understanding of web application security concepts.
• Version Control: Proficient in using Git as a version control system.
• Problem Solving: Accustomed to performing debugging and analytical problem solving.
• Work Discipline: Able to work according to project timelines and development standards.
• Growth Mindset: Willing to learn, flexible, and enjoys solving challenges.
• Communication Skills: Proactive and able to communicate effectively within the team.
• Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and detail-oriented mindset to solve complex problems with effective solutions.

Nice to Have (Bonus Skills!)

• Experience using AI tools such as Claude Code
• Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience deploying applications to VPS, Cloud, or Kubernetes environments
• Familiar with Clean Architecture or Microservices architecture
• Experience with state management tools such as Redux or TanStack Query
• Active in technology communities or open-source contributions
