Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role for a Software Developer based in Toronto, ON, with flexibility for some work from home. The Software Developer will design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and back-end web services that support business needs. Responsibilities include writing clean, efficient code, implementing object-oriented solutions, integrating third-party APIs, and optimizing system performance and reliability. The role also involves troubleshooting and debugging issues, participating in code reviews, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define requirements, and contributing to documentation and technical best practices. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Computer Science principles and Software Development practices
• Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts
• Experience with Back-End Web Development, including APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and modern development workflows
• Ability to analyze requirements, design technical solutions, and write maintainable code
• Effective communication and collaboration skills in a hybrid work environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Experience with cloud platforms, security best practices, and automated testing is an asset
