We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer – Privacy to design, develop, and deliver secure, scalable, and privacy-compliant backend applications. You will work closely with architects, product owners, data engineers, and privacy teams to build enterprise-grade microservices, APIs, and AI-enabled solutions that support regulatory compliance while ensuring high availability and performance.

This role also requires leveraging modern AI development tools and building AI-powered engineering solutions to improve software development productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot
• Build high-performance REST APIs and Microservices
• Develop event-driven applications using Kafka or similar messaging technologies
• Design scalable service architectures and integration patterns
• Collaborate with Product, Architecture, Data Engineering, and Privacy teams
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and Agile ceremonies
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance
• Develop CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
• Maintain technical documentation and design specifications
• Continuously improve application reliability, scalability, and maintainability

AI Responsibilities

• Utilize AI development tools such as Claude, Cursor, or similar throughout the software development lifecycle
• Build AI agents to automate engineering tasks including code generation, testing, debugging, incident analysis, and CI/CD workflows
• Develop AI-enabled backend services using LLMs, Prompt Engineering, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
• Implement audit logging, observability, and human-in-the-loop controls for AI-powered production systems

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
• 6+ years of enterprise software development experience
• Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across multiple teams
