THE ROLE

We're hiring a Fullstack Engineer to help build and scale Starvo's core platform — the system that connects every charger to every driver. You'll work across the full stack: protocol-level integration with charging hardware, network roaming, backend services, and the operator and driver-facing interfaces.

This is a high-ownership role. What you ship directly powers real charging sessions on the road. Our platform is genuinely polyglot and protocol-heavy, so you'll go deep on systems most web engineers never touch — the open standards that make EV charging interoperable worldwide.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Build and maintain Starvo's charging management platform end to end — from backend services to web interfaces
- Work with EV charging protocols: OCPP 1.6 and 2.0.1 (charger to platform) and OCPI 2.2.1 (network roaming)
- Develop and integrate protocol-engine components built on CitrineOS (Node.js / TypeScript)
- Build backend services and business logic in Python 3.12
- Design and query relational data models in PostgreSQL
- Build responsive, reliable frontend interfaces for operator dashboards and our driver-facing eMSP app, Ion
- Contribute to an event-driven, service-oriented architecture running in Docker
- Collaborate with hardware and operations teams to integrate charger firmware and field telemetry
- Write clean, tested, maintainable code and take part in code review


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of professional fullstack development experience
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript / Node.js AND Python
- Solid experience with a modern frontend framework (React / Next.js preferred)
- Strong SQL and relational database design skills (PostgreSQL preferred)
- Experience building and consuming REST APIs and working with event-driven / message-based systems
- Comfortable with Docker and containerized deployment
- Familiarity with Git-based workflows and code review
- Good written and spoken English; Bahasa Indonesia for day-to-day collaboration


NICE TO HAVE

- Direct experience with OCPP, OCPI, or EV charging / energy systems
- Experience with WebSocket-based real-time systems
- Familiarity with CitrineOS or other OCPP server implementations
- Cloud deployment experience (Alibaba Cloud, AWS, or similar)
- Experience integrating with IoT or hardware devices
- Exposure to AI-assisted development workflows
