Ghost is partnering with a fast-growing AI startup that's rebuilding how accounting work gets done!

Backed by Andreessen Horowitz (a16z Speedrun) and having raised $4.5M, the company is building AI-powered workflows that sit on top of ERP and accounting systems, automating work that has historically required entire teams.

The product is already being used by leading accounting firms to run production-critical workflows. The technology works. Customers are live. Growth is accelerating.

Now they're looking for an engineer to own the most important integration in the platform: NetSuite.

Why This Role?

This isn't a typical integrations role.

You're not wiring together APIs and handing them off to somebody else.

You'll own the entire NetSuite surface area—from data models and sync architecture to onboarding, observability, reliability and the complex edge cases that only appear inside heavily customised OneWorld environments.

You'll work directly with founders, customers and product engineers to build what could become the most robust ERP integration layer in the accounting industry.

What You'll Build

You'll take ownership of:

• NetSuite integrations end-to-end
• Data models, mapping logic and sync architecture
• Integration reliability, monitoring and diagnostics
• Customer onboarding for complex ERP environments
• Python backend services and integration infrastructure
• Technical standards for future ERP and accounting connectors

You'll also work across:

• NetSuite
• QuickBooks
• Xero
• Sage Intacct
• Bill.com
• Ramp
• Gusto
• Dext

And future integrations as the platform expands.

What We're Looking For

NetSuite Expertise:

You have hands-on experience with:

• NetSuite OneWorld
• SuiteTalk REST
• SuiteTalk SOAP
• SuiteQL
• SuiteScript 2.x

You understand the realities of working with:

• Custom records and custom fields
• Saved searches and workflows
• Subsidiaries, departments, classes and segments
• Heavily customised customer environments
• Real-world production implementations

ERP Integration Experience

You have:

• Built and owned complex NetSuite integrations
• Shipped integrations against at least one major ERP or accounting platform such as:
• Sage Intacct
• Dynamics
• QuickBooks
• Xero

Software Engineering

• 4–10 years building complex products as a software engineer
• Strong Python expertise
• Strong system design fundamentals
• Experience building reliable production systems
• Comfortable working across backend, infrastructure and frontend
• Experience with authentication, OAuth, rate limiting, retries, idempotency and distributed systems

AI-Native Mindset

• Heavy user of AI in day-to-day engineering workflows
• Continuously optimising how you build, debug and ship software
• Excited by an environment where AI-assisted development is the norm

Bonus Points

• Former founder or founding engineer
• Experience owning a technical domain end-to-end
• Experience building ERP, accounting or financial infrastructure products
• Experience mentoring engineers as a senior IC
• Experience with Kubernetes, TypeScript, Go or Rust
• Experience working directly with customers on complex technical problems
