Role Description The Web Application Engineer is a full-time, remote role responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining modern web applications. Day-to-day tasks include writing clean, efficient code for front-end and back-end components, implementing new features, and optimizing existing functionality for performance and scalability. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high-quality releases through testing and code reviews. The role also involves staying current with industry best practices, contributing to documentation, and continuously improving development processes and tooling.
Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong skills in Web Application Development and experience building and maintaining Web Applications.
  • Candidates should possess back-end skills, including Back-End Web Development and Software Development in modern frameworks and languages.
  • Candidates should possess solid Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) skills and apply OOP principles to design scalable, maintainable systems.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with databases, APIs, and cloud or containerized environments is advantageous.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and effective remote communication skills are required.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
