About Wholesale Hub

Independent stores in the US, like bodegas, corner stores and small grocers, still restock by phone calls, texts and PDF price sheets. Wholesale Hub puts their distributors in one place, so a store owner can buy from several suppliers in one checkout at real wholesale prices.

We launched in May 2026 and we’re scaling quickly. We’re building this company for the next ten years and beyond.

The role

You’ll be our first senior engineer and the leader of our engineering team. I own product and customers. You own how we build.

• Lead our two engineers day to day. Plan the work, review the code, unblock people, raise the bar.
• Run the engineering process: priorities, tickets, releases. When something keeps breaking, you fix the process behind it.
• Turn product ideas into shipped features, and push back when an idea is wrong.
• Own our core marketplace systems, from architecture to production.
• Build and ship AI-powered features that make buying wholesale faster and smarter.
• Help hire and shape the team as we grow.

Who you are

• A leader first. You like making other engineers better, and you’ve done it before.
• 5+ years building web products professionally.
• Strong in TypeScript, Next.js and Postgres. We also use Supabase, Stripe and Vercel.
• You’ve shipped LLM-powered features to real users and know when AI is the right tool and when it isn’t.
• You already use AI coding tools like Claude Code, Cursor or Codex every day.
• Clear written and spoken English.
• 4+ hours a day of overlap with US Eastern time (roughly 6:45pm–10:45pm Nepal time).
• Someone who genuinely loves building and wants the startup ride.

Bonus points

• E-commerce, marketplace, inventory or ordering systems experience
• Stripe or Stripe Connect payments

What it’s like here

It’s early, it moves fast, and it’s a lot of fun. Small team, real customers, big problems. Some weeks will be intense, and you’ll grow faster here than anywhere with a bigger org chart. We also want you around for years, so we work hard without burning people out.
