Senior Software Developer / Solution Architect

Client: Health Shared Services (HSS), Alberta, Canada

Work Arrangement: 95% Remote with Occasional Onsite Requirements in Alberta, Canada

Schedule: Approximately 40 Hours per Week, Monday to Friday during Alberta Business Hours.

Position Overview

SkyRidge Corp is seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer / Solution Architect to lead the architecture, design, development, implementation, and delivery of an enterprise application modernization initiative. This role requires a hands-on technical leader capable of translating business requirements into scalable software solutions while providing architectural guidance, Agile leadership, and mentorship to development teams. The successful consultant will play a critical role in delivering a modern platform that supports complex business operations, data management, reporting, and workflow automation.

Minimum Mandatory Requirements

Candidates must clearly demonstrate the following qualifications:

• Minimum 7+ years of Software Development experience
• Minimum 7+ years of .NET Framework/.NET Development experience
• Minimum 3+ years of Microsoft SQL Server Development experience
• Proven Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience
• Experience delivering enterprise applications from design through production deployment
• Experience leading software development initiatives and mentoring technical teams
• Experience working directly with business stakeholders and translating requirements into technical solutions
• Strong solution architecture and technical design experience

Key Responsibilities

The selected consultant will:

• Lead solution architecture and technical design activities.
• Develop and deliver enterprise applications using ASP.NET Core, ReactJS, and SQL Server technologies.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and implementation plans.
• Design scalable, maintainable, and secure software solutions.
• Lead Agile/Scrum ceremonies and delivery activities.
• Build and support CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
• Lead database design, migration, and optimization efforts.
• Produce architecture documentation, technical specifications, and implementation artifacts.
• Mentor and guide development team members.
