We’re hiring a Backend Engineer to join the core engineering team behind one of Japan’s most widely used digital platforms. This isn’t maintenance work — you’ll design and ship backend systems that power millions of daily user interactions.

You’ll work in an environment where engineers own decisions, challenge assumptions, and continuously improve architecture at scale.

What You’ll Work On

• Design and develop backend services in Java or Go
• Take features from idea to production — architecture, implementation, testing, deployment
• Improve latency, resilience, and observability across critical systems
• Reduce technical debt while scaling traffic and feature complexity
• Contribute to architecture discussions and long-term platform evolution

What You Bring

• 3–5+ years building backend systems in production environments
• Strong proficiency in Java or Go
• Experience with relational + NoSQL databases
• Solid understanding of APIs, distributed systems, and performance tradeoffs
• Comfortable working in agile, product-driven teams
• Business level English and Japanese (N2 or more)

Nice to Have

• Microservices architecture experience
• Spring / JPA, gRPC, or GraphQL
• DevOps or cloud infrastructure exposure
• Domain-driven design mindset
