Role Description The Senior QA Manager will lead quality assurance and quality control activities across cargo operations and related processes to ensure compliance with internal standards and industry regulations. This part-time hybrid role is based in Abu Dhabi, with a mix of on-site responsibilities at cargo facilities and the flexibility to perform some tasks from home. Day-to-day work includes designing and implementing quality management frameworks, planning and executing audits, monitoring operational performance, and identifying opportunities for process improvement. The Senior QA Manager will analyze quality data, oversee corrective and preventive actions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and provide guidance on best practices related to quality and safety. The role also involves preparing reports for leadership, supporting regulatory and customer inspections, and mentoring staff in quality-focused behaviors and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong skills in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Quality Management, with experience implementing and maintaining quality systems.
  • Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret data, identify trends, and support decision-making in quality and operational performance.
  • Candidates should possess knowledge of Food Science or related disciplines when overseeing perishable or food-related cargo handling and safety standards.
  • Experience in cargo, logistics, aviation, or related industries, including familiarity with international quality and safety regulations (e.g., IATA, ISO), is beneficial.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage stakeholders, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences, both in person and virtually.
  • Relevant academic qualifications in quality management, engineering, science, or a related field; professional certifications in quality (such as CQE, CQA, or ISO auditor) are a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment with limited supervision.
