Company Description

Loan Mountain Capital is a fast-growing private real estate lender providing financing to real estate investors, fix and flippers, and home builders across the United States.

With over $2 billion funded across 4,500+ projects, we combine the resources of an established lender with the speed, flexibility, and personalized service of a local lending partner.

About the Role:

We're looking for a talented, resourceful, and hands-on Software Developer with full-stack experience to help us build, maintain, and improve the technology that supports Loan Mountain Capital's operations and growth.

This role combines software development, system integrations, workflow automation, and AI-powered solutions. You'll work closely with leadership and different departments to identify inefficiencies, build custom tools, connect existing platforms, and develop solutions that make our teams more productive.

We're a growing company, so we need someone who can wear multiple hats, take ownership of projects, and turn ideas into working solutions without needing constant direction.

The ideal candidate is a strong problem-solver who enjoys building things, understands how technology can improve business operations, and is excited about leveraging AI and modern development tools to work smarter and faster.

Key Responsibilities

Full-Stack Development & Maintenance

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain internal applications, dashboards, and web-based tools.
  • Build new features and improve existing systems based on business needs.
  • Work across front-end and back-end technologies to deliver complete solutions.
  • Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues, identify root causes, and implement reliable solutions.
  • Ensure applications are secure, scalable, and perform efficiently.

System Integrations & Workflow Automation

  • Build and maintain integrations between business platforms, APIs, databases, and internal systems.
  • Identify repetitive processes that can be automated to reduce manual work and improve efficiency.
  • Develop automated workflows for reporting, data entry, follow-ups, and other operational tasks.
  • Work with tools such as Make, Zapier, n8n, or similar platforms when appropriate.
  • Connect and optimize existing tools such as CRM systems, Microsoft 365, and other business applications.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot integrations to ensure workflows continue running reliably.

AI Implementation & Process Improvement

  • Explore and implement AI-powered solutions to improve internal workflows and productivity.
  • Integrate AI tools and APIs into existing applications and processes when appropriate.
  • Identify opportunities to use AI for data processing, reporting, document analysis, and task automation.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and recommend practical ways to apply them.
  • Help the company adopt new technologies while maintaining appropriate security and data privacy standards.

Data Management & Reporting

  • Build and maintain databases, reporting tools, and data pipelines.
  • Develop dashboards and automated reports that provide visibility into business performance.
  • Improve how information is collected, organized, and shared across departments.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security across connected systems.
  • Support teams with technical solutions that make information easier to access and analyze.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Project Ownership

  • Work directly with leadership and department managers to understand business needs and operational challenges.
  • Translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.
  • Take ownership of projects from planning and development through testing and deployment.
  • Manage multiple priorities and provide regular updates on progress, timelines, and roadblocks.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve existing systems and processes.
  • Document technical solutions and provide guidance to team members when needed.

Skills & Qualifications Required

  • 3+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong full-stack development experience, including both front-end and back-end technologies.
  • Proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Experience with front-end technologies such as React, HTML, and CSS.
  • Experience developing and integrating REST APIs and working with webhooks.
  • Strong understanding of SQL, relational databases, and data management.
  • Experience building internal applications, dashboards, or business tools.
  • Experience integrating third-party software platforms and automating workflows.
  • Familiarity with Git, version control, and modern development practices.
  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to independently manage projects from concept to completion.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Comfortable collaborating with non-technical team members.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with workflow automation platforms such as Make, Zapier, or n8n.
  • Experience with AI tools and APIs, including Claude, OpenAI, or similar technologies.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot.
  • Experience integrating CRM platforms such as Zoho.

  • Familiarity with application security, authentication, and access management.
  • Previous experience in a startup, small business, or fast-growing company.

What We're Looking For

  • Takes ownership: You don't wait to be told what to do. You identify problems, propose solutions, and follow through.
  • Thinks beyond the code: You understand the business problem before deciding how to solve it.
  • Is resourceful: You're comfortable researching, experimenting, and figuring things out independently.
  • Moves quickly: You know how to balance speed, quality, and long-term maintainability.
  • Embraces AI: You're excited about using modern tools to improve development and business efficiency.
  • Communicates clearly: You can explain technical concepts to people who aren't developers.
  • Enjoys variety: You're comfortable switching between development, integrations, troubleshooting, and automation projects.
