Qualifications

Applicants should have at least five years of professional experience developing web-based applications and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Strong hands-on experience with C#, .NET 8 or later, and ASP.NET Core is required, along with experience using JavaScript and/or TypeScript and SQL Server or another relational database. Experience with Git-based source control, code reviews, and automated build or deployment processes is expected, as are strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Applicants must have experience developing secure applications and incorporating security throughout the software development lifecycle. Experience with AI-assisted development tools is also required; developers are expected to validate, test, and remain accountable for generated code. CompTIA Security+ certification is required, or candidates must be able to obtain it within 30 days of hire. Preferred experience includes React, TypeScript, Blazor, Razor Pages or Razor Components, Entity Framework Core, IIS, and Windows Server hosting. Familiarity with SAST, DAST, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, Section 508 accessibility, RMF, ATO processes, federal cybersecurity requirements, or DoD and federal programs is an asset.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain web applications using C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, Blazor, and Razor Pages. Build responsive, user-friendly interfaces with JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and related frameworks. Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services, and design, optimize, and maintain SQL Server databases, data models, and data access layers. Troubleshoot issues across front-end, middleware, database, and hosting environments. Apply secure coding practices, identify and remediate vulnerabilities, and implement authentication and authorization using established identity and access management technologies. Contribute to automated testing, code quality efforts, and CI/CD pipelines. Participate in code reviews and collaborate with the Agile team to deliver reliable solutions. Use AI-assisted tools thoughtfully while maintaining responsibility for the quality, security, and performance of all work.
