About Vielight

Vielight Inc. is a leader in photobiomodulation technology, dedicated to advancing health and wellness through innovative light therapy devices. With recent medical device approvals in Canada and the US, and pending approvals in Europe and Australia, we are expanding our reach and impact globally.

Vielight is looking for a full-stack developer to improve and scale an existing clinical EEG platform.

You will collaborate with our designers and computational neuroscientists while owning the technical implementation and integration of the overall platform.

Responsibilities

  • Improve system architecture, performance, reliability, and maintainability
  • Strengthen the integration between the web application, APIs, and EEG-processing pipeline
  • Identify and resolve technical debt, bottlenecks, and production issues
  • Improve testing, deployment, monitoring, and developer workflows

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong professional experience with full-stack web development
  • Proficiency in Python, Django, React, and TypeScript
  • Experience working with asynchronous pipelines, background workers, and APIs
  • Knowledge of event driven design
  • Strong understanding of databases, Docker, Linux, and production deployments
  • Ability to understand and improve an existing system—not only build new features
  • Practical judgment, attention to quality, and clear communication

Technical Environment
