Role Description This full-time remote role involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications that support Académie Solaire EPT’s products and internal systems. The Software Engineer / Software Developer / Application Developer will write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, implement back-end services and APIs, and integrate applications with databases and other components. The role includes collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements, refining technical solutions, and participating in code reviews to ensure quality and security. Day-to-day responsibilities also involve troubleshooting issues, optimizing performance, and contributing to continuous improvement of development practices and tools.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, and software engineering principles.
• Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C#, JavaScript).
• Working knowledge of Back-End Web Development, including APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.
• Experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and their practical application in production code.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
• Ability to analyze requirements, design scalable solutions, and write maintainable, testable code.
• Comfort working in a remote environment, with strong communication, time management, and self-organization skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is beneficial.
• Interest in education, renewable energy, or mission-driven technology initiatives is a plus.
