Role Description

In this full-time remote role, the Senior C# Developer will design, develop, and maintain back-end services and APIs that power The Movement’s social economy platform. Day-to-day activities include writing clean, scalable C# code, implementing object-oriented designs, optimizing database interactions, and integrating with third-party services. The Senior C# Developer will collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate requirements into robust technical solutions, perform code reviews, and ensure adherence to best practices and security standards. This role also involves troubleshooting and resolving production issues, improving application performance, and contributing to architectural decisions that support platform growth and sustainability. The Senior C# Developer is expected to mentor other developers and help shape engineering processes that align with the company’s mission and long-term goals.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, and software design principles.
• Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with extensive hands-on experience in C# and .NET.
• Experience in Back-End Web Development, including RESTful APIs, microservices, and database-driven applications.
• Deep understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and their practical application in large-scale systems.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, version control (e.g., Git), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Background in designing scalable, secure, and high-performance systems; familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, or GCP) is beneficial.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Interest in or experience with mission-driven products focused on social impact, sustainability, or economic empowerment is a plus.
